WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

Every Trip Machine product is designed to be ridden, used and aged with you. We stand behind the workmanship and materials that go into our products.

This Warranty Policy applies to products purchased on or after 1 November 2026.

Our warranty covers manufacturing and material defects under normal and intended use. It does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, misuse or the natural ageing of materials.

  • Stitching or seam failure due to faulty workmanship.
  • Defective buckles, rivets, D-rings, fasteners and supplied hardware.
  • Structural failures caused by manufacturing defects.

Depending on the nature of the defect, Trip Machine may repair the product, replace the defective component or replace the product.

3. Riding Boots ~ 2 Year Warranty

Trip Machine riding boots are covered against manufacturing and material defects for two years from the original delivery date.

Covered Defects

  • Premature sole separation or delamination caused by manufacturing, construction or bonding defects.
  • Stitching failure resulting from manufacturing defects.
  • Defective supplied hardware.
  • Structural defects affecting the boot's intended use.
  • Manufacturing defects in the lining, footbed or other supplied components that affect normal use.
  • Other manufacturing or workmanship defects.

Exclusions Specific to Riding Boots

  • Gradual sole and tread wear.
  • Damage caused by accidents, crashes or impacts.
  • Water damage resulting from improper care or prolonged exposure.
  • Misuse or use outside the intended purpose.
  • Damage caused by chemicals, solvents or harsh cleaning products.

Sole Wear Assessment

Motorcycle boot soles naturally experience wear through walking, riding and contact with footpegs.

Premature sole separation caused by a manufacturing or bonding defect may qualify for warranty coverage.

Normal tread wear, abrasion or gradual reduction in sole thickness through use is not considered a manufacturing defect.

4. Motorcycle Accessories & Lifestyle Goods ~ 6 Month Warranty

The following products are covered by a six-month manufacturing and material warranty:

  • Tank accessories.
  • Handlebar accessories.
  • Helmet accessories.
  • Wallets.
  • Belts.
  • Keyrings.
  • Other eligible Trip Machine motorcycle accessories and lifestyle goods.

Covered Defects

Stitching & Construction: Manufacturing defects resulting in stitching failure, structural faults or incorrect construction.

Leather & Materials: Manufacturing defects in leather, lining or other materials affecting intended use.

Zippers & Hardware: Manufacturing defects in supplied YKK zippers, buckles, rivets, snaps, buttons and other hardware.

Adhesives & 3M™ Tape: Manufacturing failure of supplied adhesives or tape when installed according to Trip Machine's recommended instructions.

The extended warranty programme does not apply to motorcycle accessories or lifestyle goods.

5. Leather Ageing & Natural Characteristics

Trip Machine products are made using natural leather that develops character through use.

Variations in grain, texture and colour, along with creases, marks, scratches, darkening, fading and patina, are natural characteristics of leather.

These changes are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under warranty.

The marks your product picks up along the way are part of its story.

6. General Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Accidents, crashes, falls or impacts.
  • Overloading beyond the product's intended capacity.
  • Incorrect installation, mounting or use.
  • Modifications or alterations after purchase.
  • Contact with exhausts, hot surfaces, chains, wheels or moving motorcycle components.
  • Chemicals, solvents or harsh cleaning products.
  • Pressure washing or improper cleaning.
  • Neglect, misuse or improper storage.
  • Third-party mounting hardware or accessories where they caused or contributed to the damage.
  • Prolonged exposure to water or excessive moisture where it caused the reported defect.
  • Cosmetic ageing or natural changes in leather.
  • Loss of or damage to personal belongings carried inside the product.

Normal cosmetic ageing or exposure to ordinary riding conditions does not, by itself, invalidate an unrelated manufacturing-defect claim.

7. Extended Warranty - Additional 1 Year

Eligible Trip Machine motorcycle luggage and riding boots may receive one additional year of coverage, extending the standard two-year warranty to a total of three years.

Eligible Products

  • Motorcycle luggage, including saddlebags, panniers, duffel bags, tank bags and tail bags.
  • Trip Machine riding boots.

Motorcycle accessories and lifestyle products covered under the six-month warranty are not eligible.

Registration Conditions

  1. The product must have been purchased on or after 1 November 2026.
  2. Registration must be completed through the Trip Machine Warranty Registration Form within 15 days of delivery.
  3. The extended warranty is calculated from the original delivery date, not the registration date.
  4. Registrations submitted after the 15-day window do not qualify.
  5. Extended warranty coverage cannot be backdated, and customers cannot choose a different warranty start date.
  6. Registration details are subject to eligibility verification.

Example

If an eligible product is delivered on 10 November 2026 and registered on 15 November 2026:

  • Standard warranty: 10 November 2026 – 9 November 2028.
  • Extended warranty: 10 November 2028 – 9 November 2029.

8. Purchases Made Before 1 November 2026

This Warranty Policy applies only to purchases made on or after 1 November 2026.

Products purchased before this date remain subject to the warranty terms applicable at the time of purchase.

Earlier purchases are not eligible for the new extended warranty program.

9. Purchases from Authorised Dealers & Retailers

Products purchased from authorised Trip Machine dealers or retailers qualify for the applicable standard warranty, provided valid proof of purchase is available.

Customers should first contact the retailer or dealer from whom the product was purchased.

If the retailer cannot resolve a genuine manufacturing warranty claim, Trip Machine may assess and handle the claim directly.

Accepted Proof of Purchase May Include:

  • Trip Machine order confirmation or invoice.
  • Authorised retailer or dealer invoice.
  • Amazon or other authorised marketplace order documentation.
  • Other valid purchase documentation accepted by Trip Machine.

The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not automatically transferable to subsequent owners through resale.

Gift recipients may submit claims with valid proof of the original purchase. The original warranty period remains unchanged.

10. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product has developed a manufacturing or material defect, contact:

Warranty Support: mail@tripmachinecompany.com

Please provide:

  1. Order number or valid proof of purchase.
  2. Product name and SKU, where available.
  3. Date of purchase and delivery.
  4. Clear photographs or videos showing the reported issue.
  5. A brief description of what happened and how the product was being used.

Trip Machine may request additional information, photographs or videos.

In certain cases, a product may need to be returned for physical inspection.

Customers should not return products without prior instructions from Trip Machine.

11. Warranty Claim Assessment

Each warranty claim is evaluated based on:

  • The nature of the reported defect.
  • Product age and usage.
  • Photographs, videos and supporting information.
  • The product's intended use.
  • Whether the issue is consistent with a manufacturing or material defect.
  • Whether external factors contributed to the reported damage.

A claim will not be rejected solely because the product has developed natural cosmetic ageing or has been exposed to ordinary riding conditions.

If a claim is not covered, Trip Machine will communicate the reason for its assessment.

12. Claim Costs & Shipping

Domestic Claims

For approved warranty claims, Trip Machine will bear the reasonable cost of the approved repair or replacement and applicable shipping associated with the warranty resolution, subject to the process communicated by the team.

Customers must obtain instructions before returning any product.

International Claims

For international claims, repair may not always be practical.

Where a claim is approved, Trip Machine may provide a replacement component or replacement product, depending on the issue and availability.

Any applicable customs duties, import taxes, local charges or other government-imposed fees will be communicated to the customer where applicable.

Trip Machine may not be responsible for shipping or customs charges incurred when customers send products without prior approval.

Claims Found Outside Warranty Coverage

If an inspection determines that an issue resulted from normal wear, accidents, misuse, improper installation or another exclusion, it will not be treated as a warranty claim.

Where possible, Trip Machine may offer a paid repair or alternative service.

13. Repair, Replacement & Discontinued Products

Trip Machine will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature and extent of the manufacturing or material defect.

Possible remedies include:

  1. Repairing the product.
  2. Replacing the defective component.
  3. Replacing the product.
  4. Offering another appropriate remedy where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

Where a product has been discontinued, Trip Machine will assess available repair or replacement options.

If the complete product is discontinued and no suitable replacement is available, Trip Machine may provide store credit equal to the original purchase value, subject to the applicable warranty terms.

Store credit does not include additional compensation for price changes, upgrades or current retail-price differences.

Repair or replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period unless Trip Machine expressly confirms otherwise in writing.

14. Product Variations & Design Changes

Trip Machine may modify or discontinue product designs, colours, materials, hardware or construction methods over time.

Where a warranty claim concerns a modified or discontinued product, Trip Machine will assess the reported defect and determine the closest suitable repair or replacement option.

Changes in colour, design or specification do not, by themselves, constitute manufacturing defects.

15. Warranty Limitations

This warranty covers manufacturing and material defects only.

It does not guarantee that products will remain free from normal wear, ageing, scratches, patina, fading or other changes resulting from regular use.

The warranty does not cover personal belongings, equipment or other items carried inside or attached to Trip Machine products.

Warranty remedies are limited to those provided under this policy for the specific covered defect, subject to applicable consumer rights.

16. Warranty Registration

Customers applying for extended warranty coverage must submit the required information through the Trip Machine Extended Warranty Registration Form.

Information collected includes:

  • Customer name.
  • Email address and phone number.
  • Product name and SKU, where available.
  • Order or invoice number.
  • Date of delivery.
  • Date of order or invoice.
  • Source of purchase.
  • Acceptance of warranty terms.

Submission of the form does not automatically confirm extended warranty eligibility.

17. Policy Updates & Support

Trip Machine reserves the right to assess claims based on the specific circumstances of each case and update this policy from time to time.

The warranty applicable to a purchase will be determined by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
